T. Carisius, 46 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.43 g, 3 h), Rome. MONETA Draped bust of Juno Moneta to right, wearing pendant earring and necklace. Rev. T CARISIVS Coining implements: anvil die with garlanded punch die above, tong to left and hammer to right; all within laurel wreath. Babelon (Carisia) 1. Crawford 464/2. RBW 1614. Sydenham 982b. A nicely toned and unusually well centered example. Good very fine.
